Tanzania's graphite industry takes off: a new force in the global market

Tanzania's graphite industry has recently achieved significant development, with the Bunyu project approved for operation.

 This project has a huge reserve of approximately 461 million tons and is expected to significantly enhance Tanzania's position

 in the global graphite market. Deputy Minister of Mines Kiruswa pointed out that this progress not only demonstrates 

Tanzania's potential, but also highlights its contribution to the local economy, including creating employment opportunities 

and promoting infrastructure construction.

With the increasing demand for graphite for electric vehicles, Tanzania is expected to become an important participant in 

the green technology transformation. The government's proactive policies and investor attention have enhanced its prospects 

as a graphite production center. European and American investors have shown interest in Tanzania's graphite industry, and the 

abundant mineral deposits of the Bunyu project are expected to drive the country's economic growth. The first phase plans to 

produce 23600 tons of flake graphite annually, and the second phase will increase to 170000 tons. In addition, the Lindi Jumbo 

project has promoted infrastructure development, making Tanzania a key player in the global sustainable technology field. These 

developments have attracted a large amount of foreign direct investment and demonstrated international recognition

 of Tanzania's mineral potential.
